A Cinnamon Experience at Hilton London Canary
Wharf
The
new Hilton London Canary Wharf pays
homage to its historic location with Cinnamon
Bar & Restaurant.
Canary Wharf has long been a
center of commerce, dating back to the 18th century
when it was the UK's main importing area for various
goods including spices. At the Hilton, an $88,000
slate wall imported from China stretches across
the lobby and dining areas, its rich colors evoking
the spice from which Cinnamon Bar &
Restaurant takes its name.
Cinnamon infuses the hotel's
cocktail and dining menus. At the bar, guests
can sip a cinnamon martini or the signature "Canary
Coo" shooter (mandarin vodka and cinnamon
schnapps), and choose from 16 different vodkas,
with varied flavors such as: pepper, vanilla,
cranberry, citrus and lime. Travelers needing
a boost will enjoy the Red Bull-tinged Energy
Cocktail menu.
Meals at Cinnamon boast the best
in local ingredients served with a simple yet
contemporary flair. Chef Neil Thrift,
formerly of Scotland's prestigious five-star Gleneagle's
hotel, has designed a menu that features top UK
specialties-from renowned Gloucestershire Old
Spot pig to delectable Brixham crab. And, of course,
the signature spice is found throughout the menu
in such dishes as: terrine of Welch lamb and
cinnamon spice (starter); loin of Gloucestershire
Old Spot with brown apples and cinnamon chutney
with Madeira sauce (main); treacle tart,
slow-roasted peaches and cinnamon syrup (dessert).
